What do you think about how Peter's  dad tried to get Fudge to eat?

What else could Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher have tried to get Fudge to eat?

I think Peter's dad made Fudge eat by yelling at him and [pouring cereal on his head which made Fudge scream. And in my opinion they could have made funny faces so when he and the y could put the food in his mouth. also may be by pretending a spoon flying like a plane.

According to Tales of a Fourth Grade Nothing, I think Peter's dad made Fudge eat by taking him into the bathroom in the bathtub and pouring cereal on his head which made Fudge scream. I think he should have done something else because it just made Fudge scream. I would have put candy and sprinkled sugar on it so it would have tasted sweet and he would have wanted to eat it.

Based on what I read, Peter's dad tried to get Fudge to eat by putting him in the bathtub and pouring cereal on his head. According to the text, it actually worked but Fudge started screaming. In my opinion, Peter's dad should've said to the whole family that they could have cake but only if they ate their dinner so Fudge would eat his dinner so that he could have cake then he might eat his dinner and he wouldn't scream.

  4. Zandar- At first I thought that dad dumping the cereal on Fudge’s head to get him to eat was a bad idea because he would want to wear it. Then when he did it and it made Fudge have his saying “eat it or wear it” I now think that it was kind of a good idea. Mr and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to get Fudge to eat by saying “you get candy if you eat your dinner.”

Based on what I read, Peter's dad put Fudge in the bath tube and dumped Fudge's cereal over him. That seemed a little harsh and Fudge started screaming.
I think one way he could get him to eat his food is to give everyone cake, cookies and cupcakes and then he would give Fudge brussel sprouts and onions.

I think Fudge’s dad made Fudge eat by dumping cereal on his head because Fudge wouldn’t eat. Fudge was so sad because he's tiny. I think that it was not nice for the dad to dump the cereal on his head. Fudge’s dad did this so he could teach Fudge a lesson. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to get Fudge to eat by giving him something healthy that was good to eat. That way he would maybe want to eat it.

  7. Natalia M,
I think that dad dumping the cereal on Fudge’s head to get him to eat was not so smart because he was just wasting money. It was also smart to do because it made Fudge eat his food.
Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to get Fudge to eat by not babying him so much and forcing him to eat his food.

I think Peter’s dad dumping the cereal on Fudge’s head to get him to eat was a good thing. I think this because Fudge stopped complaining about the food he had to eat and he started eating what his mom gave him on his plate. It was also good because his mother stopped babying him with his food. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to get Fudge to eat by telling him to eat or he wouldn’t get a treat. I would have told him he would have to take a bath with no toys if he didn’t eat his food.

I think that dumping the cereal on Fudge’s head to get him to eat was a bad idea. It was not good because it could have gotten stuck in his hair and he wouldn’t understand why his dad did it. I think that Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have gotten Fudge to eat by giving him dessert if he ate his food.

I think Fudge’s dad dumping cereal on his head was a bad idea because he is little
and he just wasn't hungry. In my opinion they could've tried to get Fudge to eat by yelling at him. They also could have bribed him to eat his food.

I think Fudge’s dad was not being nice at all because he dumped cereal on his head.
Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to get Fudge to eat by not letting him play with any of his toys by punishing him. Also they could have took his privileges of banging pots and pans away.

I think Fudge's dad should not have dumped cereal on Fudge because it made him mad. Mr. & Mrs. Hatcher could have told Fudge he would get dessert. Or they could have told him they would take all of his toys away.

Based on what I read, Fudge's dad poured cereal on Fudge's head. He could of put candy in the cereal or feeding Fudge like an airplane. Another thing he could do was say that they could have cake after they eat.

Peter's dad told Fudge to eat or wear it. When Fudge didn't eat he took him to the bathroom and had the cereal in his hand, put Fudge in the bathtub then put cereal on his head. I think it was funny that he did that and I think it was fair. To get Fudge to eat they could have tried the airplane or how Grandma told him there was a prize, I would put a real prize at the bottom the food.

I think Fudge's dad yelled at him in order to make him eat. In the context it had an explanation point which shows him yelling. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to get Fudge to eat lamb chops because it is his favorite food.

In my opinion I think Mr.Hatcher did the right thing.
This is my opinion because fudge wouldn,t eat no matter what anyone did except peters headstand. Mr.Hatcher got really mad so he dumped the bowl on his head.

I think Fudge's dad was a little strict but it worked. I think they should have used food that fudge enjoyed instead.

I think Peter's Dad took a good approach when he said "You will eat your food or you will wear your food"to Fudge because he said that Fudge will have to make a fool out of himself or he could eat with the rest of the family.
I think that Mr and Mrs Hatcher could tryed making Fudge eat and if he refuses he will have to get a timeout or have to go to his room till he eats.

Peter's dad said, "You will eat that cereal or wear it!" and fudge would not eat the cereal so Peter's dad toke Fudge into the bathroom and dumped the cereal on Fudges head.I think that it was rude of Peters dad to dump cereal on Fudge's head but it worked so Fudge would eat again. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have given Fudge a treat every time he ate a full meal until he is older.

I think the way that Peter's dad did it was good because it made Fudge eat his food.
Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have put Fudge in a timeout. They could have also have made Fudge go to his room.

I think that what Fudge's dad did taught him a lesson. He didn't like to have to wear his food so I think next time he will eat instead. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried telling Fudge that the food was actually candy. But really it was regular food.

According to the book, Peters dad got Fudge to eat by yelling at him and dumping the food on him in the bathtub. It did convince Fudge to eat, but it was sort of mean. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have tried to put a surprise at the bottom of his food or tell him he would get a treat after he eats. They need to show him the treat so he can see it so he knew it would really be there.

In my opinion I think it was funny the way Peter's dad got Fudge to eat but I think a way Mr. and Mrs. Hacher could get Fudge to eat is they could of gave him his favorite food and see if he would eat it.

  26. 3. Oaklee. I think Peter’s dad’s way to get Fudge to eat was crazy. I think it was crazy because he went to the bathroom and dumped the cereal on Fudge. I also think it was crazy because he wouldn’t let Peter’s mom go and check on Fudge.

according to tales of a fourth grade nothing the way Peters dad got fudge to eat was by taking fudge and dumping cereal on him. Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have gave fudge another one of his favorite foods.

I think the way Peters dad made Fudge eat was bad. I didn’t like it because it just makes a mess. I think they should have put him in time out every time he didn’t eat.

I think Peter's dad overreacted by the way he made Fudge eat. He should have asked Fudge to eat his food in a more polite way. He could have also sent Fudge to his room.

Mr. and Mrs. Hatcher could have kept trying to get Fudge to eat by having Peter stand on his head. Fudge would open his mouth and his mom could feed him. Fudge would chew and swallow the food.

I think the way peters dad made fudge eat was a bad idea.Every time he would eat they would have a huge mess to clean up. I think if they gave him his favorite food or junk food he would have ate.

I think peter's dads idea to get fudge to eat was a bad idea. Every time they would go to feed him it will make a mess. I think if they gave him his favorite food he would eat more often.

  32. I think Peter's dads way of making Fudge eat was a good idea because Fudge didn't like it when his dad poured the cereal on him. Now Fudge eats everything so his dad won't pour his food on him. Now they call it eat it or wear it.

  33. I agree with what Peter's dad did because Fudge was not being polite . They tried everything but nothing was working . His family tried lots of stuff and his mom even brought him to the four different doctors .

When I think about how Peter's dad got fudge to eat I thought it was really funny. Peter's dad said eat it or wear it. It sure got Fudge to eat his food the next day.

When Peter's dad said "your going to eat it or wear it" I thought that he was bluffing. Then he took Fudge in the bathroom and dumped the food on him. The next day he really started eating. I think they should of gave him chocolate, he would of ate it.

  36. In my opinion I think that what Mr. Hatcher did was right. I think it was right because Fudge was being difficult and impolite. I definitely thought Fudge learned a lesson after Mr. Hatcher dumped his cereal on him. " Your going to eat it or wear it!"

  37. Peter's dad was tired of Fudge refusing to eat and having poor table manners. He took Fudge to the bathtub and dumped Fudge's bowl of cereal over his head. I think what Fudge's dad did was okay because it got Fudge to quit eating like a dog and throwing fits at meal time. If I was Fudge's parent, I would have just sent him to his room without food. He could eat when he learned to behave at the table.
